WD2002: Word Ignores Pages per Sheet Setting When You Print From wdDialogFilePrint Dialog Object

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Show or Run methods to programmatically display the Print dialog box (wdDialogFilePrint), and you then change the pages per sheet setting, the change may be ignored, and one page per sheet is always printed. However, this symptom does not occur if you use the Print command on the File menu to manually show the dialog box.

This problem may occur if you use one of the following samples of Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications macros:

Sub TestPrint()

   Application.Dialogs(wdDialogFilePrint).Show

End Sub

-or-

Sub TestPrint()

   Application.Dialogs(wdDialogFilePrint).Execute

End Sub

After the hotfix is installed, the global version of this fix will have the file attributes (or later) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Office XP Service Pack 3.
