Your Original Xbox game disc is scratched or will not play

Disc is scratched or does not work .

If the Original Xbox game disc appears not to work, first assure the game disc is clean:
1. Hold disc by the edges without touching the surface with your fingers.
2. Clean the disc with a soft cloth, lightly wiping from the center outwards.
3. Do not use solvents or chemicals to clean the disc.
4. Try to play the game again.
Press the power button once to turn off the Original Xbox console and press it again to restart.
Try other game discs in the Original Xbox console to confirm that the problem is only with the one disc. It is important to determine if the problem is with this one disc only (disc is the source of the problem), or if the problem is with multiple discs (hardware is the source of the problem).
