Administrator Changes in MDAC 2.8

There is a new option in MDAC 2.8 that turns on machine-wide tracing for all user identities on any computer that has MDAC 2.8 installed. Note the following to use machine-wide tracing:

When you start the ODBC Driver Manager, the Machine-Wide tracing for all user identities dialog box appears.

Note If you want to trace only the processes that are running under your identity, and not the trace services, click the Start Tracing button.
You can also change the default log file path, however, Microsoft recommends that you leave the default path, or choose a secure location for the trace logs. This is true for either the Administrator or a non-Administrator.
If you want to start tracing for all user identities, you must check the Machine-Wide tracing for all user identities check box. You receive the following dialog box:
This will enable the machine-wide ODBC tracing option for all user identities.
A log file will be used or created if none exists for every user identity under which a process using ODBC is running. Make sure you turn off this when finished to avoid large amount of log files to be created.
Are you sure that you want to turn this on?

If you click No, tracing for all user identities does not start.
