XL2000: Excel Stops Responding When You Save and Close a File After Publishing Charts

When you publish Microsoft Excel Charts to your Web site, and then save and close the Excel file, Excel may stop responding, or you receive the following error message:


When you click the link to view the details of the error, an error signature similar to the following appears:

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
