Print jobs do not appear in the print queue when you print a publication on Miramar PC MacLAN network in Publisher 2007 and in Publisher 2003

You try to print a Microsoft Publisher file from a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer. You send the file across a Miramar PC MacLAN network to the printer. Publisher appears to print the file correctly, but no job appears in the print queue.

To resolve this issue, you must create an auto-spool folder in Windows.

1. Create a folder on your hard disk. It is a good idea to create a folder with a simple path and file name (such as C:\Spool). Make sure that you make a note of the whole path and folder name.
2. Click Start, and then click Printers and Faxes.
3. Right-click the name of the printer that you are using. Click Properties.
4. Click the AppleTalk tab.
5. Click Auto-spool from this folder.
6. In the Auto-spool from this folder text box, type the path and name of the folder that you created in step 1.
7. Click OK.
8. Print to a PostScript file from Microsoft Publisher.
   1. Open a publication that you are trying to print.
   2. On the File menu, click Print.
   3. In the Print dialog box, click to select the Print to File check box.
   4. Make changes to any other printer settings, and then click OK.
   5. In the Print to File dialog box, select a path and file name for your PostScript file. This must not be the same folder as your auto-spool folder.
   6. Click Save.
9. In Windows, drag the PostScript file to your auto-spool folder.
   
   Note To print additional publications, create PostScript files, and then drag those files to the auto-spool folder.

This behavior occurs with other Windows programs. Any program that generates a large PostScript file may have this problem.
