SYMPTOMS

When Microsoft JScript code makes a call to the IVsaEngine.Close method, the IVsaEngine.Close method calls the GC.Collect method. When this call occurs, the garbage collector must start.

If the code of a Web page calls the IVsaEngine.Close method, this behavior may affect performance because garbage collector functions will use up to 70 percent of the processing time.
