Article ID: 820915 - Last Review: April 7, 2006 - Revision: 4.2 FPSE2002: E-Mail Message Body Is Truncated When You Send Message from Web Page Form
On This PageSYMPTOMSWhen you send an HTML-formatted e-mail message from a Web
page form, the e-mail message does not appear correctly for the recipient. For
the recipient, the body of the e-mail message is truncated and most of the body
text missing. CAUSEThis behavior occurs when the Web site uses Microsoft
FrontPage Server Extensions 2002 from Microsoft. There is limit of 2,048
characters in a single line in the E-mail Form. As you type your e-mail
message, the Text area form field ignores all hard returns
(carriage returns) and treats the whole message as a single line. RESOLUTIONService Pack InformationThis problem is corrected in Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) for SharePoint Team Services from Microsoft. To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Office XP for SharePoint Team Services.
