Description of the Microsoft Windows Registry On This PageSUMMARYThis article discusses changes to dialing codes in Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. Note With Telephony API (TAPI), you can configure dialing rules for all telephony programs. If you run a TAPI-supported program before you configure dialing, the program typically prompts you for the minimum information required for dialing. To completely configure dialing rules on a computer, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Phone and Modem Options. You can use these options to configure all the dialing rules. MORE INFORMATIONWARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. The following registry subkey represents dialing rules for predefined countries: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Telephony\CountryList\ Each country has a separate entry in this subkey.
