OL2002: Items in Sent Items Folder May Show As Sent When the Items Were Not Delivered

SYMPTOMS

When you logon online in Outlook 2002 and you synchronize your Outlook folders, e-mail items may show in your Sent Items folder that were never delivered to the recipients.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if you have outgoing e-mail in your Microsoft Outlook Outbox and your dial-up connection or network connection is lost (dropped).
