FIX: After you archive and then restore a project, OLE Automation cannot retrieve older versions of a file
SYMPTOMSWhen you try to add a Microsoft Access database project to Visual SourceSafe (VSS) by using the integration menus that Microsoft Office Developer adds, the database project is not added to VSS and you do not receive an error message. This problem may occur after you upgrade from VSS 6.0c to VSS 6.0d. If you archive part of an existing database, and then restored it to a new blank database, the VSS command line and OLE Automation cannot retrieve older versions of any files in the database. RESOLUTIONA supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. To resolve this problem, contact Microsoft Product Support Services to obtain the hotfix. For a complete list of Microsoft Product Support Services telephone numbers and information about support costs, visit the following Microsoft Web site: http://support.microsoft.com/contactus/?ws=support (http://support.microsoft.com/contactus/?ws=support) Note In special cases, charges that are ordinarily incurred for support calls may be canceled if a Microsoft Support Professional determines that a specific update will resolve your problem. The usual support costs will apply to additional support questions and issues that do not qualify for the specific update in question. The English version of this has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table.
