. On This PageSUMMARYThe behavior of the Active Template Library (ATL) COleDateTime::SetDate method is different in Microsoft Visual C++ .NET 2003 from the
behavior of this method in Microsoft Visual C 6.0. When a user enters a date
that is not valid, the COleDateTime::SetDate method no longer sets the status of the COleDateTime object to invalid. RESOLUTIONA supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. To resolve this problem, contact Microsoft Product Support Services to obtain the hotfix.
