Description of the Microsoft Windows Registry SYMPTOMSWhen you try to add a new Web site in Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) by using the IIS Manager, the Web site is not added, and you may receive the following error message: No more memory is available for security
information updates. Event Type: Error CAUSEThis problem occurs because sufficient non-paged pool memory has not been allocated
for Http.sys. Microsoft Windows Server 2003 does not include the MaxEndPoints registry setting in the HKey_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\HTTP\Parameters
registry key. Therefore, the physical memory is evaluated to determine the non-paged pool memory. For example, on a computer that has 64 megabytes (MB), the non-paged pool memory value is set to 16. On a computer that has 256 MB, the non-paged pool memory value is set to 64. RESOLUTIONWarning If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. To resolve this problem, set the MaxEndPoints registry setting to a value that is greater than the number of Web sites that are hosted by IIS. Follow these steps, and then quit Registry Editor:
