On This PageSYMPTOMSWhen you try to use a Citrix client to connect to a Citrix
MetaFrame or a Citrix 1.8 installation that is hosted on a Windows 2000-based computer, you may
experience a very long logon time (from 5 to 30 minutes) before the Citrix desktop
appears. CAUSEThis problem may occur if Windows 2000
Service Pack 4 (SP4) is installed on the server that you want to connect to, and all the following conditions are true:
RESOLUTIONHotfix InformationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.If the hotfix is available for download, there is a "Hotfix download available" section at the top of this Knowledge Base article.
