SYMPTOMS

On Microsoft Windows 2000, when you are running a Services for Unix 2.2 Server for network file system (NFS), when you delete and then re-create a file, Services for Unix 2.2 may return a "ERR_PERM" error message when you try to open or to read the file.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the NTFS file system reuses file IDs from the tunneling cache.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information
