FIX: Cannot Enable Free Text Search on a Multilingual Catalog Property

A catalog property that is marked as multilingual cannot be full-text enabled for free text search in the Commerce Server Business Desk (BizDesk) user interface (UI).

This problem occurs because the FreeTextSearchable property is not available for selection in the UI.

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Commerce Server 2002. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: Note After you install Service Pack 2, you must manually update your BizDesk file before you start Commerce Server BizDesk. To do this, copy the Edit_PropertyDefinition.asp file from the Program Files\Microsoft Commerce Server 2002\sp2\bizdesk\Catalogs\Designer folder to the corresponding BizDesk application folder. For more information, see the ReadMe_sp2.htm file. This file is located in the Program Files\Microsoft Commerce Server 2002\sp2\ folder.

Note If you have customized BizDesk, you must back up your code before you apply these updates. The updates for this issue are located in the Edit_PropertyDefinition.asp file.
