The article describes how to repair or replace damaged or
missing stationery files in Microsoft Office OneNote 2007 and in Microsoft Office OneNote 2003.
To repair or replace damaged or missing stationery files in
OneNote, you must run the Office OneNote Setup program. However, the
Office OneNote Setup program does not have an option to reinstall just the
stationery files. To restore the default OneNote stationery files, run the
Detect and Repair Setup program. To do this, use one of the following methods.
Method 1: Run Detect and Repair in OneNote
OneNote 2007
- Start OneNote 2007.
- On the Help menu, click Office Diagnostics.
- Click Continue.
- Click Run Diagnostics.
- When the problem with the stationery files is identified, Office Diagnostics will offer to run the repair process and to restore the files.
OneNote 2003
- Start OneNote 2003.
- On the Help menu, click Detect and
Repair.
- Click Start when you receive the following
message:
'Detect and Repair...' will automatically find and fix errors in all Office files.
During this process, you may be asked to provide the installation source and/or exit open applications.
Method 2: Run the Office OneNote Setup Program
OneNote 2007
- Exit OneNote 2007.
- Click Start, click Run, type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.
- In the Currently installed programs list,
click Microsoft Office OneNote 2007, and then click
Change.
- Click Repair, and then click Continue.
- Click OK to complete the repair
process.
OneNote 2003
- Exit OneNote 2003.
- Click Start, and then click
Control Panel.
- Click Add or Remove Programs.
- In the Currently installed programs list,
click Microsoft Office OneNote 2003, and then click
Change.
- Click Reinstall or Repair, and then click
Next.
- Click Detect and Repair errors in my OneNote
installation, click to select the Restore my Start Menu
Shortcuts check box, and then click
Install.
- Click OK to complete the repair
process.
