If you save a PowerPoint 2003 presentation as a Web page,
and then you view the slide show in an Internet browser, the following commands
are missing from the shortcut menu:
| • | Last Viewed |
| • | Go to Slide |
| • | Custom Show |
| • | Screen |
| • | Pointer Options |
| • | Pause |
| • | Help |
Additionally, there may be other differences in the PowerPoint
2003 slide show, including the following:
| • | The shortcut menu is available even though the Show
menu on right mouse-click check box in the Options
dialog box is not selected. |
| • | The shortcut menu toolbar does not appear in the lower left
corner, even though the Show popup toolbar check box is
selected in the Options dialog box. |
| • | The slide show ends with a black slide even though the
End with black slide check box is not selected in the
Options dialog box. |

This behavior occurs because the Web page version of the
PowerPoint 2003 slide show has to have different command options than the
command options that are available in PowerPoint 2003 so that it can be viewed
in different browser types and on computers that do not have Microsoft
PowerPoint installed. The settings for slides on the
View tab
of the
Options dialog box in PowerPoint 2003 apply to
PowerPoint slide shows (these are files with the .ppt or .pps extensions).
