SUMMARY

This article describes the Microsoft Outlook 2002 Connector issue that is fixed in the Outlook 2002 Connector hotfix package that is dated September 18, 2003.

Issues That Are Fixed in the Hotfix Package

The following issue has been fixed in this hotfix package but was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article.
  • When you install IBM Lotus Notes, Microsoft Outlook 2002, and the Microsoft Outlook 2002 Connector, when you start Outlook, you receive the following error message and Outlook does not start:
    Microsoft Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
    If you view the details of the error message, you receive an error signature that is similar to the following:
       AppName      AppVer       ModName     ModVer      Offset
       ----------------------------------------------------------
       Outlook.exe  10.0.4024.0  Msoc32.dll  1.0.2411.0  0005268c
