Mtext line spacing is not retained when you open and view a CAD drawing in Visio 2003
SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Office Visio 2003, when you open and view a CAD
drawing (.dwg file) that contains multiline text (Mtext), the line spacing of
the Mtext object is not retained. For example, if the Mtext object is formatted
to use double-spaced lines, it appears incorrectly as single-spaced lines when
you view the CAD drawing in Visio. CAUSEThis problem occurs because line spacing formatting of AUTOCAD
Mtext objects is not supported in Visio 2003 when you open and display a CAD
drawing. WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, convert the CAD drawing to Visio
format (.vsd file). When you do so, the text appears with the correct
line-spacing. To convert a CAD drawing to Visio format, follow these steps:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. MORE INFORMATION
