SYMPTOMS

When you use the /unregserver command-line switch and the /regserver command-line switch, you may receive the following error message in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003:
Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. The command line argument is not valid. Verify the switch you are using.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because both the /unregserver command-line switch and the /regserver command-line switch are no longer valid in Outlook 2003.
