This article describes the new Very High macro security
setting that you can use to stop all Com Add-ins, Smart Tag DLLs, and macros
from running automatically in Microsoft Office 2003.
The Very High macro security setting can be used in one of
the following two ways:
| Very High | Trust all
installed add-ins and templates | Result |
| ON | ON | Macros will run only from trusted
locations. |
| ON | OFF | Macros will not run at all. |
If the Very High macro security setting is turned on and
the
Trust all installed add-ins and templates check box is not
selected, the macro will not run, even from a trusted location. Add-ins can be
installed in any location, not just trusted locations. Under these
circumstances, add-ins also will not run. If a macro tries to run under these
circumstances, you receive the following message:
The
macros in this project are disabled. Please refer to the online help or
documentation of the host application to determine how to enable
macros.
