Issues that are fixed in the hotfix package

The following issues are fixed in this hotfix package but were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

  • When you try to turn on the Allow row to break across pages option on the Row tab in Word (on the Table menu, click Table Properties), Word may quit unexpectedly and you receive the following error message:
Microsoft Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
If you view the details of the error message, you receive an error signature that is similar to the following:
       AppName AppVer ModName ModVer Offset
       -------------------------------------------------------------
       Winword.exe 10.0.4219.0 Winword.exe 10.0.4219.0 001ddbfd#

This issue may occur when the table row contains vertical text in one table cell and a nested table in another cell.
