SYMPTOMS

When you open a Microsoft PowerPoint 2002 for Windows presentation in PowerPoint X for Mac, PowerPoint X stops responding and abruptly quits.

This problem occurs if the PowerPoint 2002 presentation contains unresolved OLE links to external documents, such as a Microsoft Excel 2002 workbook. PowerPoint X does not support the use of OLE links to external documents, only hyperlinks.

RESOLUTION

This problem has been fixed in the Microsoft Exchange Update for Entourage X (Office v. X 10.1.4 Update). To obtain the Microsoft Office v. X 10.1.4 Update, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
