SUMMARY

This article describes ink support in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 and in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 on non-tablet computers.

MORE INFORMATION

Except for PowerPoint presentations, the ink features in Microsoft Office 2007 and Microsoft Office 2003 are only available on a Tablet PC. However, the ink features are available on any PC during a PowerPoint presentation to provide annotations by using the pointing device. You can annotate your slides with the Ballpoint Pen, the Felt Tip Pen, and the Highlighter features.

On a Tablet PC, you can use the Felt Tip Pen feature to annotate with ink whose stroke width varies depending on the pressure that is applied with the stylus. However, when you run PowerPoint on a non-Tablet PC, you can use the Felt Tip Pen feature to draw ink only with a uniform width. The width is uniform because the pressure detection is only available when you use a Tablet PC.
