SYMPTOMS

When your users view e-mail messages in the Sent folder in an e-mail client program, the users may not see the addresses of recipients in the Bcc field of the e-mail messages. The addresses in the Bcc field have been removed.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if all the following conditions are true:
  • You migrated the user's mailboxes from Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server to Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server.
  • The users sent the e-mail messages to themselves and to other recipients.
  • The users put their own e-mail address in the To field of the messages.
  • The users put the e-mail addresses of the other recipients in the Bcc field.
  • The users view these e-mail messages in the Sent folder of their e-mail client program.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the August 2004 Exchange 2000 Server Post-Service Pack 3 update rollup.
