The following event may be repeatedly recorded in the event log on your Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server computer:

Event Source: MSExchangeIS
Event Category: Content Engine
Event ID: 12002
Date: Date
Time: Time
User: N/A
Computer: Computer Name
Description: Error 8000FFFF-80000000 occurred while processing message <> from 'sender name'. For more information, click http://search.support.microsoft.com/search/?adv=1.

This event may be recorded so frequently that the event log becomes full.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
