SYMPTOMS

If a Microsoft Component Object Model (COM) server registers an object in the Running Object Table (ROT) and then exits or crashes without revoking the object, any client application cannot enumerate the ROT by using the IRunningObjectTable::EnumRunning method because the IEnumMoniker pointer variable that is returned by this call is null.
