Office Excel 2003, the changes that you made are not retained. The changes that
you made are only present the first time that you run Excel 2003 after you use

has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
in the "Applies to" section of this article. MORE INFORMATIONThe Microsoft Office 2003 Custom Maintenance Wizard permits
you to update the installed feature set for a software product on users'
computers. Initially the Custom Maintenance Wizard reads the Microsoft Windows
Installer package (.msi file) and creates a new product configuration (.cmw)
file. Later, the Custom Maintenance Wizard uses the .cmw file to update the
installed feature set of the product that is installed on users'
computers.
