SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003, if you build a large solution that contains Microsoft Visual Basic .NET projects, the Visual Studio .NET IDE may quit unexpectedly or may raise a stack overflow exception error.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because a duplicate hash value is created for two different project elements during the build process. This behavior causes a stack overflow.
