SUMMARY

This article contains information about the XML parsers that are supported in Microsoft Office Visio 2007 and in Microsoft Office Visio 2003.

Visio supports using either the Simple API for XML (SAX) or the XML Information Set (Infoset) to parse .vdx files. You cannot use the Document Object Model (DOM) to parse XML drawings. Using DOM to save or to parse .vdx files is not supported in Visio.
