CAD Drawing Objects That Have Fill Patterns Do Not Convert As Expected in Visio 2003

When you convert a CAD drawing object that has a fill pattern in Microsoft Office Visio 2003 (right-click the CAD drawing object, point to CAD Drawing Object, and then click Convert), the fill patterns may change to a black fill, or the scaling of the fill pattern may be enlarged.

To work around this behavior, you can make changes to the fill pattern. However, you cannot make changes to the scaling aspect of the fill pattern.

To make changes to the fill pattern, follow these steps:

1. Open the document that contains the converted fill patterns.
2. Right-click the fill pattern, point to Format, and then click Fill.
3. In the Fill dialog box, make the changes to the fill pattern that you want, and then click OK.

Note In the Fill dialog box, there are no options to make changes to the scaling aspect of the fill pattern.
