CAUSEThis problem may occur if an open Microsoft Management Console (MMC) that is using the Services snap-in locks the service database during the upgrade. WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, restart the computer or use the SMS Administrator Console to manually restart the Inbox Manager. To manually restart the Inbox Manager, follow these steps:
