Minimum system requirements for Visio 2007 and for Visio 2003

This article describes the minimum system requirements for Microsoft Office Visio 2007 and for Microsoft Office Visio 2003.

The minimum system requirements to run Visio are listed as follows.

Computer and processor

Visio requires a computer that has an Intel Pentium processor with a clock speed of at least 233 megahertz (MHz). Microsoft recommends a computer with a Pentium III or faster processor.

Memory

Microsoft recommends that your computer have 128 megabytes (MB) or more of RAM.

Available hard disk space

Hard disk requirements vary depending on your configuration. Custom installation choices may require more or less hard disk space. The hard disk requirements for Microsoft Office Visio Standard 2007, Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2007, Microsoft Office Visio Standard 2003, and Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2003 are listed as follows:

• Visio Standard 2007
  
  Visio Standard 2007 requires 1.5 gigabyte (GB) of hard disk space.
• Visio Professional 2003
  
  Visio Professional 2007 requires 1.5 GB of hard disk space.
• Visio Standard 2003
  
  Visio Standard 2003 requires 160 MB of hard disk space, including 75 MB on the hard disk where the operating system is installed.

Display

A Super VGA monitor with at least 800x600 resolution is required.

Visio requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later.

Speech recognition requires the following:
