Article ID: 831485 - Last Review: October 26, 2006 - Revision: 2.2 The server-side rule on Exchange 2000 Server does not function with public folders when an e-mail is received from a non-MAPI clientSYMPTOMSWhen you send an e-mail message to a public folder from a client program that is not based on MAPI, your server-side rule may not function. For example, this problem may occur when you send an e-mail message from Microsoft Outlook Express. Note When you send an e-mail message to a public folder from a MAPI-based client program, your server-side rule functions correctly. For example, when you send an e-mail message from Microsoft Outlook, your server-side rule functions correctly. CAUSEThis problem occurs because the PR_MESSAGE_TO_ME property and the PR_MESSAGE_CC_ME property are not set when the e-mail message is sent from the client program that is not based on MAPI.
