FIX: The Graphic Device Interface test fails when you use Windows CE .NET Test Kit

SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Windows CE .NET Test Kit (CETK) to test a device, the Graphic Device Interface (GDI) test that is provided in the CETK does not pass.

Additionally, a message from the test failure that is similar to the following appears in the test log:

FAIL: RemoveFontResource failed on \Windows\tahoma.ttf #:0 GLE():2

RESOLUTION

Hotfix Information

A supported software update is now available from Microsoft as Windows CE 4.2 Core OS QFE 031119_KB831529. To resolve this problem immediately, click the following article number for information about obtaining Windows CE Platform Builder and core operating system software updates:

Prerequisites

This fix is supported only when all previously issued fixes for this product have also been installed.

Restart Requirement

After you apply this update, you must perform a clean operation and then rebuild the platform.
