SYMPTOMS

When you try to update a cube by using a writeback operation, the writeback operation is not successful. You may receive the following error message:
Unable to open cellset Data source provider error. Column does not exist. Error during attempt to commit changes to cube '<CubeName>'.
This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
  • The cube contains at least one dimension that has one or more levels disabled.
  • The relational data source for the writeback table accepts parameterized queries (SQL Server or Teradata, for example).
