FIX: The writeback operation is not successful when you try to update a cube in SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services

SYMPTOMS

When you try to update a cube by using a writeback operation, the writeback operation is not successful. You may receive the following error message:

Unable to open cellset Data source provider error. Column does not exist. Error during attempt to commit changes to cube '<CubeName>'.

This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:

The cube contains at least one dimension that has one or more levels disabled.
The relational data source for the writeback table accepts parameterized queries (SQL Server or Teradata, for example).

Service pack information
