When you use Dell OpenManage Array Manager (AM) to create a volume that has a non-sequential drive letter, and then you remove Array Manager, the drive letter for the volume is reassigned to the next available sequential drive letter.

To work around this problem, rename the volume after you create the volume in Array Manager.
