You cannot resize or restore the Photo Editor 3.0 window in Windows 2000

If you try to resize the Microsoft Photo Editor 3.0 window after you maximize the window, you may not be able to resize the window. If you try to restore the Photo Editor window (right-click the Microsoft Photo Editor button in the Microsoft Windows task bar, and then click Restore), Photo Editor may quit unexpectedly.

This issue may occur on a computer that has Microsoft Windows 2000 installed and the LastPosition string value is present in the Windows registry.

To correct this issue, delete the LastPosition string value in the Windows registry. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Quit Photo Editor and any other programs that you have running.
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
3. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
4. Locate, and then click the following registry key:
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Photo Editor\3.0\Microsoft Photo Editor
5. Right-click LastPosition (in the right-side pane), and then click Delete.
6. Click Yes to confirm that you want to delete this value.
7. On the Registry menu, click Exit.
8. Click Start, and then click Shut Down to restart your computer.
