SYMPTOMS

When you copy a numbered style or a bulleted style by using the Organizer in Microsoft Word 2002, the indent and the tab settings in the target document are different from the original indents and tabs in the source document or in the template. This problem occurs with built-in styles and with user-defined styles.

How to obtain the hotfix

This issue is fixed in the Word 2002 post-Service Pack 3 Hotfix Package that is dated May 5, 2004. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Note This hotfix corrects only the problem with user-defined names, not the problem with built-in styles.
