When you upgrade from either Microsoft Visio 2002 or
Microsoft Visio 2000 Service Release 1 (SR1) to Microsoft Office Visio 2003,
you may find that you cannot run Visio 2003 Setup if the language of the
earlier version of Visio that is installed on your computer is different from
the language of Visio 2003 that you want to upgrade to.
This behavior occurs because, when you run Visio 2003 Setup to upgrade from either Visio 2002 or Visio 2000 SR1, Visio 2003 Setup looks for the earlier version of Microsoft Visio in the same language.

To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods, depending on your situation:
| • | Install a version of Visio 2000 SR1 or of Visio 2002 that has the same language as of Visio 2003 upgrade. |
| • | If you do not have a version of Visio 2000 SR1 or of Visio 2002 that has the same language as of Visio 2003 upgrade, return the Visio 2003 upgrade version that you have, and then purchase the required language version of Visio 2003 upgrade. |
| • | If the version of Visio 2000 SR1 or of Visio 2002 that is installed on your computer has the same language as of Visio 2003 upgrade, and you experience the behavior that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section, contact Microsoft Product Support Services.
