SYMPTOMS

Microsoft Windows 2000 Server may stop responding and display an error message that is similar to one of the following on a blue screen:
0x50 (PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA)
KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

CAUSE

This problem may occur if you are running Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 on your server.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
