On This PageSYMPTOMSAfter you turn on the audit directory service access policy in Active Directory Users and Computers, when an object is deleted from the Active Directory directory service, the security event log does not record an event ID 565 event message for File Delete Child. The event ID 565 event message records the deletion of Active Directory objects. RESOLUTIONHotfix InformationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.If the hotfix is available for download, there is a "Hotfix download available" section at the top of this Knowledge Base article.
