On This PageSYMPTOMSWhen you try to use Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) to change static gateway settings in Microsoft Windows 2000, the Win32_NetworkAdapterConfiguration.EnableDHCP method does not remove the previously configured static default gateway settings. Therefore, the adapter cannot use the default gateway settings that are specified by the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).
