SYMPTOMS

If you have an assembly that is built on the Microsoft .NET Framework version 1.1, and this assembly implements an interface that is defined in an assembly that is built on the .NET Framework version 1.0, the version 1.1 assembly may not load and you may receive the following error message:

TypeLoadException.:
[MD]: Error: MethodImpl's Decl and Body method signatures do not match. [token: 0x00000001]
1 Errors Verifying WindowsApplicationXX.exe

Note In this error message, WindowsApplicationXX is a placeholder for the name of your application.

RESOLUTION

Software update information

A supported software update is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This software update may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 service pack that contains this software update.
