SYMPTOMS

When you try to install Outlook Connector, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following:
Installation of Microsoft Office Outlook Connector can't continue without Microsoft Office Outlook. Install Outlook 2002 or 2003, and then try to install Microsoft Office Outlook Connector again.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur if Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 or Microsoft Outlook 2002 Service Pack 2 (SP2) or later is not installed on your computer. Either Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2002 SP2 or later must be installed on your computer before you can install Outlook Connector.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, install either Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2002 SP2 or later on your computer, and then install Outlook Connector.
