Dfsutil.exe does not exit correctly when you export DFS roots in Windows 2000

SYMPTOMS

Microsoft Windows 2000 Support Tools contains the Dfsutil.exe utility. This utility provides a command line interface to manage Distributed File Systems (DFS) on Windows 2000 servers. When you try to use this utility to export DFS information from the DFS Root, the utility does not return an exit code to the operating system. For example, the following command does not return an exit code and does not export DFS information:

dfsutil /VIEW:corp.business.com\fwroot /level:1 export:c:\temp\dfsroot.txt
