Description of the Microsoft Windows Registry On This PageSYMPTOMSWhen you try to update the fields in the body of your
Microsoft Office Word 2003 document, only the first occurrence of the NUMPAGES
field is updated. If you try to update the fields in the document body a second
time, only the second occurrence of the NUMPAGES field is updated. To update
all the NUMPAGES fields that are contained in the body of your document, you
must press F9 for each NUMPAGES field that appears in the body of your
document. To update the fields in the body of your document, press CTRL+A, and then press F9. Note This problem may also occur if you click Print Preview on the File menu, and then close Print Preview. RESOLUTIONThis problem was first fixed in a hotfix that is now contained in a service pack. If you installed the latest Microsoft Office 2003 service pack, you do not have to install the hotfix.
