Current fill color or fill effect is not selected on Fill Color submenu in PowerPoint 2003

In Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003, if you use the Fill Color submenu when you have an AutoShape selected, the current fill color or the current fill effect may not be selected in the color palette.


To work around this problem, follow these steps:
  1. Double-click the AutoShape that is contained in your PowerPoint presentation.
  2. On the Colors and Lines tab, click the down arrow on the Color box in the Fill area to view the selected fill color or the selected fill effect.


This problem is corrected in Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1).
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Office 2003. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
This problem was first corrected in Office 2003 Service Pack 1.
