When you first start FrontPage 2002, OfficeUserData is not available

If you start a Microsoft Office 2002 program before you start FrontPage 2002, you may not have OfficeUserData available in FrontPage. This typically occurs if you used a customized installation for Office 2002 and FrontPage 2002.

When you insert pictures into Photo Gallery page FrontPage 2002 stops responding

When you try to insert pictures from a file into a new Photo Gallery page, FrontPage stops responding. This problem occurs if you log on to your computer by using a log on name that contains double byte characters, such as Japanese characters.

When you create a subweb on an existing Web site, you may receive an error message

When you try to create a subweb on an existing Web site, you may receive the following error message:

The server couldn't log you on, because you are connecting through a proxy server, but the server's authentication scheme(s), do not work across a proxy.

Try adding the server to the Exceptions box in the Proxy Settings dialog, or request the server administrator to enable another authentication scheme.

When you try to insert a document into a FrontPage 2002 Web, you receive a "This file is already in use." error message

When you try to insert a document that has a high ANSI character in the file name, such as the Euro currency symbol, you may receive the following error message:

This file is already in use. Select a new name or close the file in use by another application.

When you save a Web page, FrontPage 2002 stops responding

The screen may also flash when this problem occurs. FrontPage 2002 cannot process Microsoft Office XP drawing objects correctly, and enters into a state where FrontPage constantly tries to open and render the Web page.

When you configure HTML Source to omit certain end tags, they are not restored

If you configured HTML Source to omit end tags, you click to clear the Omit End Tags check box on the HTML Source tab, and then reformat the HTML for the Web page, the end tags are not restored.
